Estimating his bodyweight I would say that's around 70kg for me, but nonetheless, pretty impressive display of mastery...

Would be happy with a 90kg two-armed snatch here.

How? You're joking, right?

I can honestly give you only one reply. Thanks to my good friend Doug Mahnke (who does that stuff for a living)

That rocks.

I think of the reaction when people see Ross E snatching a 100lb dumb bell.

Then you see that.

I feel very humble.

That guy can't weigh more than 110.

He posted to the youtube page that he got 102.5.

Okay, prepare for a jerk comment:

If I would consider oly lifts of that kind legal, i.e. using straps, placing the free hand on the ground during one arm snatches, not standing up, but dropping the weight at the bottom position etc., so if I would consider this legal my snatch would PR would be around 75kg. That does not mean that his lift is not impressive, just that this lift would have got three red lights in competition, if there were a one arm snatch competition...

The weight is impressive but the way he locks it out with very little wiggle to the bar is the part I'm stupified by.

FWIW, ross e repeatredly snatching 120 is pretty slick, hell I can whip 120 overhead with one hand.....once per day... ross flips it up with either hand for reps and makes it look very easy.

Ross also wrote that when he filmed that vid, he only weighed about 165-170lbs... Some serious strength to weight ratio...

Yep.

One-arm snatching a dumbbell is night-and-day easier than a barbell, IMO, but I would be proud to snatch a 135 or 140-pound dumbbell (equivalent % bodyweight) any day of the week.

I've pestered Ross about some PM contributions...the guy is seriously busy. Maybe someday!

Thursday night i got a new pr snatch with 63.5. I was thrilled with it, until I got home and happened across that video. I immediately wished for a tall glass of whiskey and no ice! He makes it look so easy! It blows me away at how high a level these athletes are competing at.
