If anyone's coming from New York City, I might be able to offer a lift to the meet from a CT train station near me.

Sanctioned by the New England Local Weightlifting Committee of the USAW, # 02-07-01



Date: Sunday, August 5, 2007.

Entry Deadline: JULY 14, 2007. Please have entry in by July 14 so that we can adjust start times, print Progams, and include all names in scorecard for spectators. Late entries accepted only as space and time permit.

Time: Classes Weigh-in Competition start
Women (all) 8:15-9:15am 10:15am
Men 56 – 85 kg 9:30-10:30am 11:30 Men 94-105+ noon -1pm 2:00pm
(Depending on # of entries, 85 kg’s may be moved to next session)

Divisions: Men’s – Open, Junior (Age 20 and under) Master (35+)
Women – Open, Junior, (20 and under) Master (35+)
”Age” is your age on Dec 31, 2007. One piece lifting singlet required.

Lifts Contested: Two Hands Snatch, Two Hands Clean and Jerk

Eligibility: Registered USAW athletes. www.usaweightlifting.org Membership card required at weigh in. You may join the day of the meet.

Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place trophy for each weight class in
Men’s/ Women’s Open and Men/Women’s Junior.
Best Lifter in each by Sinclair Formula.
Master’s – All Men, All Women by Age/Sinclair.
Team - First Place Men/Women. – Contact Meet Director

All Lifters! Please send photo and info for Meet Program!!!
Please include any or all of the following information along with entry or email: Occupation, education, family/personal info. Best Lifts, when, at what age and bodyweight? When/how did you start lifting? Titles won? Anything else! Include or email any size photo, I’ll scan and size it.

yes i am! lifters receive collared meet shirts. A.R.T specialist in warmup area, free. food throughout the day, sandwiches and pizza, free. professional photographer taking any shots of you that you like, for purchase at meet and/or over net. 25+ page meet program free to all lifters and spectators, containg lifter pics and bios, explanation of the lifts, history of the meet, and this year im asking coaches for club histories. projection screen. beautful trophies and medals. and, very likely but not yet confirmed, webcast! i'll announce that when signed with company. anything i left out?!

Hey Gary,
Thanks for putting together a great meet! And after all that, you threw up some pretty damn heavy weight at the end of the day.

I had a lot of fun lifting as well as meeting the other athletes. Good times.

Oh yeah, on a side note: there were actually a number of Performance Menu members and lurkers participating in the comp....I think 6 or 7 total.

Yoon, John, and Elliot,

It was great to have met you guys! Gary, thank you very much for all the work you put into the meet! My coach told me not to expect every meet to be so nice, or well run. It was my first competition, what a great experience! So much fun! Props to you Yoon for competing even though you had a bad wrist!
