I am interested in the relationship of several lifts. I would very much appreciate if you could shortly state your current PRs in the following lifts and give some basic information about yourself:

Front Squat: ~115.0kg

Power Snatch: 70.0kg
Snatch Pull: 90.0kg x 2 reps
Snatch: 70.0kg
Overhead Squat: 100.0kg; easy single, no idea what my max is... probably same as FS...

These are going to be a bit understated as I haven't tested many maxes. Many of these are the last set of 3-5 reps after multiple sets. Also, technique is still creating some oddities. But here goes:

Nice to see that I'm the "old man" of the group. Of course, I outweigh most of you by a considerable amount so net/net, I still suck at this.

Deadlift: 350lbs (it’s been a long time since I’ve tested the max for this)
Front Squat: 230ish? I don’t know that I’ve ever tested my max

Power Clean: 160lbs

Note: with the exception of the Power Clean, which I’ve been doing for years, I am fairly new to most of the other Oly lifts… Maybe 6 months depending… Long way to go... :)

There's some motivating numbers here. Like others, these are more "stuff I've done" rather than true maxes. Also, I've never seriously trained in Olympic lifting, so I don't do snatches, jerks, or full cleans.

All weights in pounds, because I defy the metric system.

Back Squat (parallel): 285x8x2, I estimate ~315 for a max

Also, Peter, Yoon and I are going to a meet Sunday so expect increases in our lifts.
Also, you don't have "total" listed as a category. Weightlifting is a sport, and the competition is based on the total! Total! Total!

Two comments:

at age 27, a lot more things about me were explosive! At age 45, things have a slower rhythm...

Seriously, the 2nd pull was as explosive as I think it can be when one is maxing out. I came up on my toes, etc. I thought the point was not to yank the bar off the ground. It came up slowly and steadily and accelerating until I had it to the belly button.

Just started playing around with the Oly lifts about a month ago...My lifts in relationship to other lifts are a bit scewed...a 100kg FS and 110kg BS don't jive but there it is...

The difference is in the explosive nature of the second pull and the end position.

Deadlift - Slow off the floor, not much faster above the knee, feet remain flat and there is no shrug.

Clean pull - slow off the floor, maximal acceleration from just below the knee, up on the toes with a big shrug.

If you can get 160 to the top of a clean pull then the chances are you could deadlift significantly more.

Deadlift: 275lbs X5 (Never really maxed this when I was deadlifting)..Before you question why my deadlift was < squat (haha)..I didn't start deadlifting until 7 years ago. I remember squatting (Not full squats by any means...) 3 plates when I was in HS

I have just join you all on the performance menu, I am a friend of Greg and Aimee's. Not sure if your are still collecting data on the current PR's but here is mine. I would love to know if you find any similarity.
These are all the numbers I hit going into a meet on June 24th, been pushing the reps since. I know my front squat have gone up a little maybe 5kg.

I would love to know what you think?

Unfortunately not, I will be going to Colorado with Kate, she is trying to make the schoolage trip to Quebec. She is 6th on the list right now but she needs to lift to make sure. The next three girls are right behind on the %. Don't want to get pushed off.

I was hoping to lift in the Tommy Kono Classic, so I might lift in Col instead as I will be there with Kate. Do you know anyone who is going out there to lift?
Do you have a lot of lifters entered for the state games?

How is Aimee and yours training going?

I'm not sure who will be there. Word is there aren't many registrations in yet, but I'm sure there will be plenty the day of. I don't think Aimee is going to lift there, so it will just be me and maybe 3 other guys from our gym.
