Hey everyone,

Back from NY and my wifes laminectomy, (http://www.spine-health.com/topics/surg/overview/lumbar/lumb04.html). The procedure had no complications and I'm happy to say we are back in Virginia now.

Thanks to all for all the well wishing and prayers.

Wow, that's great news. Quite a surgery I'm sure. I remember when you first posted this on the CF board a while back. It must be really nice to finally have it behind you. Good luck to your wife's continued recovery.

Good to hear it went well.

For curiosity's sake, what is the rehab timetable for an operation like that?

1-3 months until normalcy. Right now she has to use a walker and can only stand up for short bouts of time.

Glad things are looking better amigo. I tried to get your cell number form Tom and Jessee but they did not have it on them...then my mom went in the hospital (minor cardiac event) and well...I got distracted. If you need anything let us know.

Glad to hear all went well. I know your thoughts were preoccupied with her pending surgery as well they should be. It must be a relief to get things back on track (no pun intended).

Best wishes to a speedy and full recovery.

I appreciate the thought, how is your mother doing?

Thank you to everyone, last night Laurie put up 2 pictures of her hospital stay on her blog. Right now my mom and sister are down helping her out and helping with Conner. Next week her mom is suppose to fly in. Thank goodness for family! I wish I had more vacation time to be at home and help her. I do have the option to do some work from home but that is only helpful if I'm able to actually get work done.
