I was thinking, since caffeine is a diuretic, would that mean that there is the possibility of it causing you to excrete some water soluble vitamins?

Hey Craig!
One adapts to the diuretic effects of caffeine pretty quickly so I don't think this would be a problem. Even at a high water intake the kidneys are pretty wiley at reabsorbing, either passively or actively, what we need.

Robb - Found this study:

"Oral doses of caffeine increase the urinary excretion of calcium, magnesium, sodium and chloride for at least 3 h after consumption... no adaptation to the urinary losses occurs with continuing consumption of caffeine"

Good stuff Craig! Way to do your homework on that!
