If you could pick only ONE band to work out to what would it be? You could have all thier albums, but just one band.

I would go with Rammstein.

I would go with either Pantera or White Zombie.

Cheap Trick. Specifically, either the In Color or Heaven Tonight album.

Maybe The Offspring.

The one Britany Spears album with "Stronger" on it.

"I'm STOOOOOONGER than yesterday.."

That really gets you pumped to lift some weights.

Is that the same "I'm the Man" as done by Anthrax?

"I'm the Man" by Anthrax is hilarious. Get the uncensored version. They actually have 3 versions of it.

I have trouble getting motivated when Patience is playing. On the other hand, Don't Cry is perfect for Fran.

It's not my line, but what ever happened to...
"With hands on bar, world is silent."

Will psyche up before a workout with ...And Justice for All or Master of Puppets, Tool, or RUSH.

But am happy to workout in a gym with no music playing.

Ohh yeah. I thought we were talking about "working out", you know curls, tricep kickbacks and such....gotta have tunage for that....I think. Wouldn't know for certain, I have some limp bits of rope hanging from my shoulder in place of arms.

I need something to quiet that inner voice that is screaming "Oh shit! What are you doing to me?" I rarely recall any of the songs that play during the really intense workouts.

Linkin Park any song any album.

My CD player in the garage always has the Linkin Park / Jay Z mosh up cued and ready.

I can't work out to patience because I always end up whistling along. Real hard to breathe correctly when you are whistling.

Great album! Too bad they sold out with their new lame pop radio songs aimed at saving global warming or some other mainstream bandwagon hippie crap.....

Bodies by Drowning Pool....always a classic...

The Black Keys

Good call on that. I'll go in a similar vein and say White Stripes.

To add on top of these 2 suggestions is System of a Down and Staind.

Hmmm?
Harder, faster?

Pennywise. Hard not to go fast when listening to them.

Pennywise is an excellent choice...but my all-time favorite #1 choice is going to be Dropkick Murphy's, everything they make is perfect for my gym.

I've been in a retro kinda place lately, for me it's been all Allman Brothers... Average White Band too.

Pick up the Pieces gets me a-groovin!

Looking over this post I realized I had most of the bands mentioned in my Ipod so I threw together a playlist.

If it's cheesy 80's you're after my vote goes for After the Fire. Tune it to Der Kommissar, hit repeat and you're off.

Zepplin. AC/DC. What can I say, I grew up on my father's music.

Im going to have to say Beach Boys. Not hard or fast or anything, but it surprisingly works good for working out (for me at least). the only other thing I want (besides birds chriping and etc when I work out outside) is the Discovery Channel (I know Im weird).

I think I used to work out to the Dream Theater and Joe Satriani albums back in the 80/90s.....Well until GNR and Nirvana came around....Oh maybe the Go-Gos....everyone loves a good snappy finger music singalong....esp when you are the only one who can hear it and don't realize you are really snapping your fingers and doing the Carlton dance in the middle of the gym floor.....

LOL MOD at the Go-Go's. They were definitely the shiznit back in the day.

Right up there with Cyndi Lauper and Debbie Gibson. Holla!

HATEBREED is by far the best band to listen to when working out. Incredibly motivational.

I'm pretty much only listening to Gojira, The Tossers or Tiger Army in the gym right now.

Saw Tiger Army with Social D a few years ago--they put on a pretty good live show.
