How many carbs do you get from your paleo diet?

Do you try to restrict your carbs?

What do you think is the optimal energy intake of carbs (E%)?

It varies by day. Some days may be 30-40g....others 100-150g. Sources could be veg, fruits and pwo drinks. Weekends may be other sources...my diet is constantly in flux as I try new ideas to see the results. Latest is more a Metabolic/Body Opus of 5 days low carb (40g or less) during the week and weekend carb loads. The amount of carb loading and timing I am playing with week to week. I may go back to some sort of small weekend load and add pwo shakes during the week....I also time my loads around my hockey games which are once a week and mostly on weekends. That and I like having the weekends free as I can go out and not be too restricted.

Fasting days I get 6g - 12g of carbs. Training days I usually get around 150g, though about 1/3 of that is usually non-paleo (beer/alcohol or rarely it is bread).

My average daily carb intake is probably 15% of total calories.

I've found 100-150 gram of carbs to be optimal for my body composition.

Too low carb count will increase cortisol and lower testosterone levels.
Too high carb count will increase insulin levels and fat production.
