I know I really shouldn't.....

I often eat unprepared foods. Meats, veggies, fruits, oils, all on their own. Would changing the order in what I ate have different effects? Digestively? Hormonally?
Carbs first?
Protein first?
Fats first?
I ask this question because my PWO meal is usually unprepared. Foods I can take with me. Meats, fruits. And I often am "drinking" olive oil, which I can choose to do before or after I eat.
Obviously a prepared meal I can't exactly separate my macro-nutrients.

Protein first as a general rule, in order that the stomach "sees" how much HCl and other proteases to let go. As protein nearly always comes with fat, they can be taken together.

Carbs in *significant amounts* taken away from protein meals, as they require completely different pHs to digest properly. Note that in Paleo foods, carbs nearly always appear by themselves within the same food. Protein and fats show up together in meat, nuts, and seeds.

That's the basics.
