I have always wondered about salt but done nothing to change my consumption really. Some if my immediate family members are "known" to consistently salt before tasting. Since going paleo and shifting my eating patterns, I notice I am using/needing much less salt!

Well I think I really confirmed that this past week. In anticipation of my first meet, and making weight, I cut out added salt from my personal food and while some things (namely eggs) may have tasted better, I was able to deal with it with some add'l spices/herbs!

This is just my observation and wanted to share, hear other's input!

By using lots of herbs and spices, I also notice that I don't have a desire for much in the way of salt. I do sometimes add a bit of sea salt to my food, but that's rare.

Whats salt?

Seriously, i never add salt during cooking or add to meals. The only exception used to be fish and chip take aways, but take aways are now limited to treats after i have donated blood which is every 16 weeks.
