would love to see pics or a video of how to do them....I think I am confusing them with HSPU and can not visualize it.

MOD,

This is straddle-sit to press handstand performed by a SIX YEAR OLD!:

I'm not sure whether I should cry, blame old age, or just quit this stuff altogether.

Yeah....not even close to doing that....but looks like a good 12 year plan for me to try.....

Well, she does bend her arms a bit (yes, I am criticizing, lol), but that is AMAZING especially at her age.

I read on another site that a good progression is to put your hands about 8 inches away from the wall and lean forward until your shoulders are against the wall. Good stuff and really helped me today. It was challenging but really enjoyable and definitely something I want to continue.

Steven or Coach Sommer, any progression from there or just suck it up?

I can't tell one tumbling pass from the other but press handstands are just beautiful. A beautiful athletic movement when done utilizing pike flexibility more than planche strength.
I'm not even close to being close. The day I perform one I will know I've made a LOT of progress :)
