Logging pork here... it's something everyone should try to eat everyday. It's impossible to be angry when you're eating bacon.

Last of the left over porkchops for breakfast.

Dinner was knockwurst stew. Excellent. Wonder what the next day will hold...

Snack on some TJ's Carnitas after work, before going to art opening.

Del Oro Chorizo scissored up and shared with a few officemates before lunch.

Kind of a wicked good buy for 4 bucks.

6 pieces of bacon with brunch.

I should also count two pieces of pumpernickel bread fried in the bacon grease.

There was some bacon in my Boston salad last night (3/11) but otherwise no pork all day.

Had half a delicious ham steak today (with 2 eggs, asparagus, and whole milk kefir).

Mu Shu Pork in the AM. Not enough pancakes for me. Not enough grease either, come to think of it...

I had some unknown meat product on my pizza this evening. I'm guessing there was some pig in it (the exact part of which I care not to know). It was delicious.

Added 5 strips of crispy home-cooked bacon to my leftover Acapulco salad. Forgot to save a piece to mash into my vanilla ice cream.

A few strips of bacon with dinner.

I also mashed a leftover strip into my vanilla ice cream. Sadly, this experiment proved to be a colossal failure.

this was in the breakfast thread, but needs to go here, too.
It's pulled pork with cole slaw and beet pickle on a Belgian waffle.
And it's as awesome as it sounds.

cut up a complete pork loin into medallions, sauteed them in lard with chipotle, same with 6 eggs. Split it all with my wife and then proceeded to deadlifts, pullups and muscle snatchs.

don't try the recipe, it is really nasty, you would hate it for sure, no kidding.....workout was nasty too....

Will have to give that bacon salt a try!

Got to work early for a telecon so I had first dibs on the cafeteria's breakfast buffet bacon. Fresh from the grease pit and oh soooo delicious and crispy.

Pork loin today.

Here's for 1-starring my avocado thread. An eye for an eye, Alston!

Hah, I didnt even know this thread existed. It looks like were all Asian too. Chinese eat the most pork in the world, I cant remember a figure, but when I heard it, I remember being really surprised. Then, I remembered what I had for the last week, and wasnt so much...

Mao Pao tofu (tofu + pork in spicy garlic sauce + black bean)

"Mock Porcetta"

From Marcella Hazen's book -- basically a pork shoulder roast with salt, pepper, garlic, capers, fennel seed and lemon peel rubbed in and worked into various cuts and seams in the muscle.

With a heritage pig, quite good.

Bacon and 3 eggs (cooked in the bacon grease) with some carrots for breakfast.

I credit the recent increase in bacon and avocado consumption for helping me break out of my 7 month lifting rut.

I found an ancient, long forgotten package of bacon in the back of my freezer today. Much like Ítzi the Iceman, it must have spent many, many moons frozen in time. I cooked it up with some leftover Costco hamburger patty, half a bag of frozen spinach and 3 large carrots.

It's 2-Position Snatch Mania!

For shame. Who could forget bacon?

For shame. Who could forget bacon?

I know, I know! It's so shameful I almost resigned from the internet last night. I must carry on though.

Finished the rest of the package tonight, minus two strips. Ate it with a leftover Costco burger patty, 2 eggs, and a lot of blueberries.

Today's workout can best be summarized as follows:
-Missed lifts
-Too many sideline coaches and too much input
-More F-bombs
-More missed lifts
-Unintentional (but nevertheless gratuitous) displays of butt crack -- and not the good kind -- by a repeat offender.

Meal: Lunch

The Tonkatsu lunch special at Sushi Time. I'm saddened that most places don't offer the option of loin vs. fillet cutlet. Of course, the fattier loin cutlet is the way to go.

I need to snatch deadlift more.

Meal: Lunch
Pulled pork from the cafeteria. Probably not the wisest choice because I can feel some rumbling down below.

Hmm, I'm not sure if the above link ever worked.

-Some Chaeyuk Kui (Korean pork roast), along with some fried octopus, sashimi, and homemade lasagna.

-A sausage patty with a red pepper and cheese omelette. Home fries too.

A lackluster lifting night overall, but I'll take that 80 snatch for a double.
