I just finished up Starting Strength and I'm going to be starting Performance menu at the start of the next Macro cycle, which I think is coming up in a couple of weeks.
I know most of the lifts are based on 1 RM, and I was wondering if anyone had a list of excersizes that you need to know your 1 RM for at the start of the program.
Also, for some days, it says "medium weight", but no reps are listed. What reps range do you use, since a medium weight for 10 reps is light for 3.

Get 1RMs in the snatch, clean, clean & jerk, power snatch, power clean, back squat (oly), and front squat if you can.
There shouldn't be any exercises without reps or sets prescribed - otherwise, you're right, "medium" doesn't mean anything.

Greg,
THanks, those are the ones that I had on my list, but I didn't know if there where any others. As far as the medium weight question, form the Sat April 26th WOD
Power snatch + Snatch balance + mid-hang snatch - med weight x 4 sets
Power clean + Push jerk + jerk - med weight x 4 sets
I'm not sure how to read this. I would use a weight that made me feel like I was working, but didn't feel heavy and caused no break down in form. I'm not sure if thats the correct way to interpret the WOD.

Jamie -
That means 1 pwr snatch + 1 snatch bal + 1 mid-han sn x 4 sets.
And that's exactly what medium means.

Rock on, I'm doing my maxes over the next couple of days, and I'm starting on Monday. Thanks Greg
