Since the meet I had on Saturday, my lower forearm into my elbow has been somewhat painful and tender, like at the base where my forearm meets my elbow (one of the ligaments or tendons?). I also have been having some pain from that radiate up into my shoulder. Nothing major, but it's uncomfortable.

Any ideas? I didn't notice anything while I was lifting, or afterwards, but the next day it was quite sore, and it's been sore since then.

This happens to me all the time - probably just some minor tendinitis or the like. Get some ice on it and some ibuprofen. Mine rarely lasts more than a couple days.

OK that's what I was thinking. I've been icing it and popping pills so hopefully that'll take care of it soon.

If it hasn't gone away, I would suggest light exercise with ice afterwards. + massage and maybe some tennis balling to break up anything.

Usually some pain like that is tight muscles or scar tissue getting mixed up and pinching on the nerves.

i am finding lately that taking a light gripper and holding it closed in an over-crush state, squeezing much harder than force required to close it, and then cycling my arm open and closed with my hand in multiple supinated to pronated and rotated positions really loosens up my elbows.

EDIT: The first rounds I did of this following the apparent injury point, was a quite intense feeling in the tendons and muscle around elbow. It has decreased rapidly doing this. usually do it about 30 seconds each arm wait a few minutes or more and repeat cycle 3 or 4 times a couple times through the day whenever I remember...

Few weeks ago, I think I rapidly overhand curled the weight instead of cleaning it, :). The above movement has really decreased overall feeling of tightness and pain in the elbows since then. Prolly get back on power cleans next week.
