June 13, 2007 - Surgery after four dislocations of the left shoulder, starting in Sept 2005.

July 21, 2008 - Dislocation #5 of the left shoulder. @#$@#%#^!#!!!

Looks like my volleyball playing days are done as 2 of my last 3 games have sent me to the ER to get my arm put back in socket. People sure do look at you funny when you walk into the ER shirtless and covered in sand with a deformed shoulder.

Anywho, no more surgery for me. I'll just give up volleyball and stick to skiing, sprinting, and lifting. In other news, the surgery obviously tightened stuff back up...the last two dislo's before surgery left little in the way of pain once the shoulder was reduced. This time it's just like the first time. Yay for me.

Maybe I'll ask the surgeon if he has an 18-month warranty or anything like that.

Ouch. Sorry 'boot that.

If you ever wanted to try some prolotherapy, now would be the time to do it!

At least I did it AFTER the track meet.

Dr. G, where can I find someone about this prolotherapy?

Google is probably your best bet.

Terms to try in your search:
prolotherapy (obviously)
proliferative injection therapy
regenerative injection therapy

Wait...I just found it. www.GetProlo.com

Sweet, thanks. I'll check out the guy here in Louisville. Can't hurt at this point.

Oh, prolo can and often does hurt. It's the results we're after. Talk to the doc, then let me know if you have any more questions about it.

That's not the "hurt" that I was referring to. ;)

Just get a massage from some hot chick......not sure it will help the shoulder...but who cares at that point.
