I've been keeping up with this since I heard he first earned a spot. Incredibly sad, and of course there's many angry people out there. Not much anyone can do about it now, but still, terrible.

“He's saying that he's done,” Woolfolk said, “but it's hard at this moment to say you'll keep going. I think he needs some time away from the sport right now.”

I'm hoping we see him again after some time off. 2012?

That's a crappy deal. And that's the sorry thing about competing in a sport with playground rules that change from one minute to the next. It's hard to work your ass off and stay focused when you don't know what you're working for.
