I think something like this is long overdue. If you think I'm too harsh, so be it. There might be things, like using BMI, that aren't appropriate to do this but it has to start somewhere. I'm tired of paying for others' dumb mistakes in life when I try quite hard to be productive and responsible. Not trying to run up my own flage here but what the? We live a world of pansies.

While I'm at it, same thing goes for the mortage mess. I'm responsible and watch my expenses but now I'm being forced to bail out a bunch of idiots?

I've got no use for anyone who can't take responsibility for thier adult actions.

The mentality of "trying to save everyone" is what brings the whole system down.....time to start making people fend for themselves...teach people how to save themselves....as a society based on handouts gives no motivation otherwise.

Saw this yesterday.

I commend them. Basically, they have a smoking tax... and now they have a fat tax. All states should do this (and keep upping it -- exponential -- if you refuse to follow).

I don't understand the mortgage thing at all. It seems like the people that did do their HW, that did plan the right way...etc are getting nothing but the people that who knows what happened are getting bailed out. So what incentive is there to do it the right way?
