What leads to stomach distension? Is it just high food volume, visceral fat, both? How can one prevent stomach distension and what volume of food would be needed to lead to distension? Would more calorie dense food or incorporating more liquid meals help at all?

John,
Are you talking about bloating or simply distension? Is this a permanent or temporary situation you're referring to?

same question John, is it short term something that just happened or like in general with people that look like they are pregnant?

if short term - food allergies or bloating due to messed up gut and digestion...best thing, do a short fast or eat only fruits and veg for a day or two.

if long term - insulin resistance/cortisol issue....solution, exercise, controlling insulin and reducing stress

More so the pregnant thing. I was just wondering how you can prevent yourself from getting the pregnant/muscular gut look down the road. I am a pretty small guy to begin with and I would hate to develop that look lol. Any advice (more calorie dense stuff/liquid meals?). My thinking was that while IFing you would be more prone in the long run to develope that look since you take in larger amounts of food at any given meal. Or would IF combat the hard gut/pregnant look?

I'm still not sure I get it. IF shouldn't really promote a hard gut/pregnant look unless you're stuffing all your calories into one meal and taking in all solids... even that would pass.

If you're referring to "roid belly"... roids and hgh will do the trick. Look at pictures of the top "Pro Bodybuilders" like Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman. They waddle around and look prego all the time, even in "contest shape"

Eat right and don't drink a ton of alcohol....you should be ok.

I think you've been looking at too many pro BBers and superheavyweight PLers and OLers...
