Hi to you all.

I have been deadlifting for about a year, with a 2 months interruption because of a muscle strain.

Since my technique was learnt on my own (youtube mainly), I feel Iīm lagging in some respects.

See a video with 330 pounds for form check.
By the way, itīs the 3rd single set with the same weight and my maximun up to now.

I think I can lift a bit more but I want to improve my technique.

In my opinion my bottom is too high, yet that could be due to my bodily proportions (6 feet tall, short torso for my legs I would say)

Looks pretty good to me.

You start in a a position that's fairly typical of an Olympic weightlifting deadlift.

Your shoulders are in front of the bar (typically powerlifters sit back a little further to keep the bar close to the shins after lift off.

Hip height is not excessively high and your hips only ride a little during the initial pull which is also fine. You maintain your lower back position and you have a pretty smooth pull too.

One thing I would do is ditch the running shoes for pulling, you can actually see a slight front to rear wobble as your body compensates for the foam moving around under your feet.

I think it look pretty good. ditch the shoes and you'll be able to get a little further back with your butt. you're starting in the right place for your height, if you want to advance to heavier weights do not artificially lower your start to comport with some oly lifting ideal.

You are quite right about the shoes.

I didnīt think it mattered much because my weights arenīt very high, but I tried again yesterday with flat non elastic shoes and I could notice the difference.
Felt much better. No backwards movement at all.

Good piece of advice.
