I got this article in the email from NSCA. Both are interesting...

http://www.nsca-lift.org/Perform/articles/090103.pdf

One is about Beta-Alanine supplementation

The other is about programing strength training and sprinting.

Thoughts?

Thanks for sharing this article Joe.

About Beta-Alanine Supplementation:
-It seems as though it would be most beneficial for those who train close to muscle failure, or anything involving the accumulation of lactic acid. Perhaps it wouldn't be so beneficial for a strength athlete (powerlifters or O'Lifters), but more so for people who follow CrossFit type of training or bodybuilding

About Sprint Training:
-I've always believed sprint training should be done before weight training (if they have to be done in the same session) if your primary goal is getting faster. If sprinting is used to supplement some other goal, then it probably wouldn't matter much since you're not so much focused on max speed, rather in this case, it would be about max effort to induce some other response (i.e. for conditioning, for fat loss, for additional posterior chain work)

Just my thoughts
