Heavy bag and speed bag install?

I am going to hang a heavy bag and install a speed bag and I am in need of some general instruction. I searched youtube but could not find a good vid. The bag is 70lbs and will hang from a vaulted ceiling. The ceiling is 12 feet high in the center. I would like to hang it in the center but if that is too much play in the chain I could locate it on the slope at a lower height.

For the speed bag the studs in my wall are on 12 inch but the speedbag has holes predrilled at 16 inches. My plan was to drill new holes at 12 inches and install?

1: Hanging the bag at 12' is ok, if you hit it the right way it shouldn't move too much. The most important part is have a strong support for it. It will shake the ceiling and everything around it.
2: Re-drill the holes to 12" so you go into the studs, I've never trusted the hollow wall ancors, even for picture frames.

Thanks Jon I'm glad to hear the high ceiling won't be a problem. Could you tell me if i should hang the bag from dead center at the peak or run two chains from either side dropping down in a v and then a single chain.

I will take your advice about the new holes at 12 for the speedbag. :D

Well thanks for checking back! I am going to roll the dice with one bolt and add a spring, which is supposed to help keep the bolt from loosening.
