I am looking for dress shoes which follow a barefoot model design like converse but dress shoes. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks.

Sanuk Rogue is a decently presentable dress shoe, aside from the garish sole color.

On that note, I love my Vivo BF Oaks:

thats funny i have the same pair.
highly recommend these too.
one thing i would say about terra plana is get on the mailing list or email them and try to buy when they have an online sale.. not uncommon to get 15-30% off periodically..

+1. I got mine at 50% off with an email "sale" coupon.

The Asics Tai Chi is a nice one, but a it leans a bit to the casual side. It's white leather with black swooshes on the side. The fit is long and narrow. Very soft sole; you can easily bend it either way to make the toes touch the heel. Costs about $75 and can be found on ClassicSportsShoes.com, I think.

I have the vivobarefoot Dharma's: http://www.terraplana.com/dharma-p-1603.html?colour=57
They're definitely good quality shoes. I highly recommend them. Definitely look for coupons. There are often coupons listed on www.retailmenot.com. In fact there is a $50 off coupon listed on there today, that expires today.
Jump on it!

Wow that is a hell of a discount...how does the sizing go?
I typically have to get larger in Nike Free's than my "regular" size and then in Vibrams I'm way smaller.

I wear the same size in Vivo's as I do with my OL shoes (so I'd say go smaller/snugger).

Right. I love how shoe companies say they are "barefoot", when they should be saying they are "as close to barefoot while wearing shoes as you can be" or some such...
If I could go barefoot at work all day, I would. That would be a bit too much for my patients, I think. Besides the fact that OSHA says I have to wear closed-toe shoes.

So, have you seen if Vibram 5-Fingers count as "closed toe"? In grad. school, my wife work front closed sandals that "counted" as closed toe -- at least for the University drones.
Best,
Mark

I don't know. OSHA never paid any visits to my office to tell me so when I used to wear them...

I have four pairs of Vivos and I really love them. They are the only shoes I wear anymore with the exception of my old Nike Free 3.0s.

LOL. Those are the most idiotic shoes I've seen, short of the Z-Coils.
White people obviously need massive, overengineered shoes to ever hope that they can walk like a barefoot African.
Or at least the consumerism-driven economy does. One of the two.

What's really gr8 about my new barefoot vivos is i can def feel it if i start heel striking as i walk which i think is a habit caused by conventional footwear all my life.
