Has anyone tried doing a span of a few weeks of living on milk (with proper supplements such as fish oil) alone? I tried looking up information on it but I must have been looking in the wrong spots 'cause I couldn't find much helpful information on it.

I think the diarrhea would make you lose weight.

I think the diarrhea would make you lose weight.and severely dehydrate you !

Don't listen to these wimps. Please try and tell us about it after.

I'm debating trying it. But, now after thinking about it, I would make it milk, veggies, and fruit. In regards to dehydration, milk is composed of a lot of water, plus whatever water I intake during working out and pre-post workout shakes.

Babies seem to do fine on milk alone so go for it, man. And tell us how it works out.

Seriously, though... Why?

I love milk tons, so I figured why not try it to see how it goes. I'm thinking about doing 2 gallons/day so calories won't be an issue.

This is likely a bad idea. Please let us know how it goes

Having done it several times, I'd like to throw in that it's possible to drink 2 gallons of milk in a single day and not get diarrhea, or any intestinal problems at all. However, I wouldn't see a pure-milk diet as being particular enjoyable. Interesting, yes, but not enjoyable, and quite possibly unhealthy too.

I'm a sucker for trying new things and seeing how my body responds. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated.

Variety in your diet is important. Add a litre of yoghurt perhaps. ;-)

Day 1 results:
Mentally and physically tough to get down all the liquids. Raunchy gas near the end of the day as was somewhat expected. Feel great this morning though.

The gas and diarrhea will fade as you drink more milk.
Are you rocking raw milk? There must be some place to get that our near Cortland. Try the Ithaca farmers' market.

Raw milk is illegal in NY. Can't get it commercially.

steroid pushers should start carrying raw milk.

It can be bought off the farm legally in NY. Source check here (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=raw+milk+ithaca).
But we're kind of getting of topic. Epic diarrhea is the goal here, right?

Interesting goal. I'd really like to see this go a full 30 days either way. Just to ensure the integrity of the experiment.

No raw milk, just rockin' the whole milk for now. I have heard of the farmers market in Ithaca, but it seems like it would be a lot of driving to keep up on supply.

@ Alston, I don't really have a specific goal, just wanted to see how my body responds to such a change.

you should combine this with the more classic dairy challenge: 1 gallon of milk in 1 hour.

make every meal of the day a dairy challenge

any excuse to get out of Cortland for Ithaca is a good one.

Day 3 went much differently than day 1. Starting out I could barely stomach it all and felt like throwing up by the end of the day. Today, I got it all down and feel like I could chug down another gallon still. Just for reference, this is all I'm taking it (spread out of course):

2 gallons whole milk
3.5 cups of mixed veggies
apple, banana, 2 oranges
multi-vitamin
5g BCAA's (pre-workout)
3-4g creatine (post-workout)
ZMA + additional zinc pill (bedtime)
Water during workout, pre-workout shake, and to take night pills

Originally this was going to be a week thing, but if people feel like 30 days will be more legitimate, I'm up for it.

Fruit and veggies don't constitute a milk only diet. I feel let down.

I did mention in my 2nd post or so that I should probably add them in because someone mentioned lots of diarrhea and that didn't sound pleasant to me. lol

Not bad actually. I've been going much much less than usual, I am pissing like every 45-60 minutes however.

Didn't make it past the first week. Mom decided to start making some of my favorite dinners once I started this and caved in. Tonight for instance we had shrimp, scallops wrapped in bacon, and steak, couldn't resist.

Cheater.

Honestly, I'm impressed you even tried. Even though I was a little let down you included veggies. I wanted to see how it would go with only milk.

Maybe someday...
