Resistance Bands question

Hi All,

Just got some questions about resistance bands.

Aside from colour being different, is a 1/2" band (for example) going to be the same tension no matter what company produces them or no?

And another thing, Rogue makes a Blue band (http://www.roguecanada.ca/rogue-monster-bands.php) that is 1/2"' and Garage gym (http://www.forgegear.com/category_s/35.htm) makes a purple band that is 1 1/8" but both offer same resistance. Why is this? That is quite a difference in size while still having the same tension.


I'm just looking at getting some help in deciding which bands to purchase.

I agree! I think the answer is no. I do not think that it is the same since every company has its own standards in making them. It all boils down to the quality of the material. I hope this helps as this is very applicable to any other type of things. I always check and take into consideration the materials and who created (company that makes them).
