Anyone having experience with getting back to WL after a knee arthroscopic surgery and 8 months off any squatting?
Could you suggest a program (you followed), or give some input on how to make one? Thank you.

There is a lifter I know that had arthroscopic knee surgery and came back just fine, but I don't think he posts on here much, if at all. Arden Cogar (???). I know he posts on Pendlay forums and has talked about his knee surgery and his comeback from it. Yo might just search for it there or on GoHeavy Olympic forums (I think he posted about it there too).
Hope you find what you're looking for!!!

I'm in the process of coming back from a knee surgery last summer (ACL reconstruction). If you took eight months off, I would say you're healed by now. That's a long layoff. The biggest thing I would suggest is doing a lot of work with extremely light weights just to make sure you're able to get into the right positions. Make sure you can sit into a good bottom position with an empty bar before you do anything. Once you can do that, write out a week-to-week progression of weight increases that you'll follow, and don't be afraid to make it slow and cautious. Whatever your surgery was, I would say you're ready to start lifting again if you've waited eight months. Make sure icing, post-workout stretching, and prehab exercises like the ones you did in physical therapy become a regular part of your training also.
