Monday:

Breakfast: smoked wild salmon (abt. 4 oz.), a thing of steamed asparagus
Snack: a pear, some cashews
Lunch: one of those make-your-own salads at Brueggers (sans the bagel): lettuce, chicken, mandarin orange, almonds, some kind of balsamic vinagrette
Dinner: spinach salad with 2 hardboiled eggs, an avocado, olives and olive oil

breakfast: 2 eggs, 3 strips bacon
lunch: salad w/ spinach, 4 oz salmon, ~10 carrot sticks, 1 avocado
snack: a pear, some mixed nuts
dinner: pork chops...maybe 6 ounces or so

I'm really not into eating at all lately. Maybe the heat? Hopefully getting my AC fixed in my car will help, or maybe I need to cook some yummy soup.

I've always found the opposite to be true for me....slow cooker/soup type stuff in the colder weather appeals to me. In warmer weather I couldn't care less.

I just have an easier time getting myself to drink a cup o' soup than eating a big meal.

Okay, this is what a cheat day looks like.

Breakfast: nothing (had to be at work earlier than usual)

Early Lunch: free food at work: chicken and a salad...I had a lot of chicken

Snack: a pear and some nuts

Second snack: My coworker went to Europe and brought back some Swiss chocolate. I figured it would have fewer cockroaches and I haven't had chocolate in almost a month. I ate I think seven or eight squares. I also had about three caramels from the province of Normandy in France, one of which had Calvados (an apple liquer) in it. And a couple hard candies from Italy.

Dinner: leftover porkchops from yesterday--about 6 ounces. An avocado since I was still hungry and an orange since I cheated so much today anyway. Still I bet that I'm somewhere close to Zone ratios.

I'm supposed to go to two Passover things next week (Monday and Saturday) so will have to watch myself... Though I signed up to bring dessert which will be a lovely fruit salad.

brunch: the last of the damn porkchops and an avocado
linner: boston market chicken plus a side of string beans and a side of potatoes (no i didn't eat the cornbread and those sides are maybe like 1/4 serving)
snack: an apple and some mixed nuts. also earlier i had some coconut water.
lunses: more chicken

I kinda cycle through protein sources it seems.

no breakfast, ran out the door too early (and there was no way i could have possibly gotten up any earlier than 5:45 AM)
lunch: more Boston Market (chicken, corn, cornbread, potatoes)
dinner: nothing, running out the door again... i did just eat some popcorn at 300

maybe working 10 hours, driving 3 hours between jobs and seeing a movie on the same day is a bad idea... i need to have like ten lunch bags packed ahead of time for days like today. oh well, there's always tomorrow...

Something like four eggs and three strips of bacon for breakfast, I was soooo hungry. No time for lunch between jobs (again) but I nibbled on some cheese we were sampling (no wine or bread for me)... Then I was invited somewhere and I ate whatever they put in front of me, which was some citrus and apple slices, then some grapes, then two bowls of chili and a piece of cornbread, and some kind of fruit tart.

I guess this is a pretty typical week for me as far as habits go. Every week I start out really well, thinking I'm going to keep it up all week. Then I indulge in some kind of chocolate/sugar/etc. A few days later, I'll either eat something I shouldn't or won't eat nearly enough due to my schedule. Then I'll end up at someone else's house eating whatever.

I got up at 10 hoping to finish my last-minute homework assignment marathon by around 3 or 4. Just got done now with 38 minutes to spare (I submit assignments online.) So that means I didn't get to the gym or the grocery store, but here's what I ate:
-breakfast: one leftover egg
-lunch: moussaka (which I guess is some kind of eggplant, beef and egg... they promised me no wheat)
-snack: a shake
-snack: some carrots with cashew butter
-dinner: not hungry and headache from staring at the screen

Up tomorrow: grocery shopping!! and the gym. This week I'll do Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday or Saturday.

Other peoples food logs are always interesting, but dont we need to know why you are eating this way, ie what are your goals?
Thanks.
Oh, same question for Mark Madonna, who is definatley seems to be able to pack in the food.

Well, I was trying to kind of get a read on what it is I'm actually eating and then figure out ways to clean it up more. Does that count? I just want to get it to a certain baseline "clean" level more consistently before I start experimenting. Since I've been having trouble eating enough lately, that's kind of on hold a bit... but this is useful for me to figure out when I am most consistent and what my excuses are when I'm not.

Anyway, so I'm about to do a purification diet for a couple weeks to get ready for a ceremony. I don't do the whole vegetarian purification diet thing, no juice or whole grains for me...but I do abstain from red meat, anything processed (fried, sugary sweet, etc.) so basically eat clean...and it's Passover so I have to be even more strict than usual about the no grain thing, so when I went grocery shopping today I decided to get some raw milk. It's not ideal I guess but it's got a lot of calories and is high in fat and protein and it's liquid, so I have no excuses not to eat breakfast!

Today:
breakfast: nothing
lunch: chicken, broccoli, potatoes
snacks: half an avocado, an apple and a glass of raw milk
dinner: Passover seder food, which included one egg, some matzah with bitter herbs and charoset, some salad, a bowl of matzah ball soup, turkey, potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas and carrots, three or four chocolate-covered macaroons and probably about a glass and a half or two glasses of wine.

I've been trying to talk my Jewish friends into doing no grains for Passover instead of eating matzah, which kind of tastes like cardboard anyway. I was looking at desert ingredients out of curiosity and it looks like most of them have potato starch. Interesting.

just remembered that corn is a grain, oops.

breakfast: carrot sticks and cashew butter
lunch: salad with one avocado and about 8 oz. canned TJ's salmon
dinner: milk, some emergen-c (the no-sugar kind)

Sleeping for fifteen hours yesterday foiled my plan to make a ton of chicken veggie soup and I'm still feeling a bit off...
