Snatch at about 10 lbs below my max, little unstable bottom, and I realize I'm wearing an identical shirt as the last vid, I'm in the military and it's required regimental dress at the gym

Anybody have any technique advice for me?

In the starting position, retract the shoulders slightly and flatten up your back a little more.

You're right about the unstable bottom position. You do a good job of turning the bar over quickly just make sure you have a good punch into the barbell for a solid lockout. It looks like your right elbow is a little soft when you hit the bottom of the squat. Pull those shoulder blades together and keep pushing up on the bar for a solid overhead position.

Thanks for the advice Blake. Most of my misses are from my arms not locking under the bar fast enough. I get under well enough just not with my arms as solid as they should be I'm going to start doing a lot more snatch push presses and overhead squats while holding the bottom. Anything else you would recommend throwing in there?

Maybe some of these articles by Greg could help you out:

That article from Greg is new to me, but I've read the get cozy down there article before, and was going to focus on holding the bottom in my snatches in the future. I think flexibility in the bottom could be one of my issues as well, I've been trying to work on hip mobility to keep a more upright torso position in the bottom, and it's coming along slowly but it's something I need to focus more on. Just want to say thanks to everyone involved in the website for taking the time to help those of us without access to coaches. I've purchased and read Greg's book and learned a lot from it, so once again, big thanks to everyone at Catalyst Athletics
