View Full Version : Robb Needs your Help

Robb Wolf

Hey Y'all! I've been roped into an event to benefit Muscular Dystrophy. I need to raise $1900 (or more) by mid April. I get "locked up" for part of an afternoon and the $1900 is my "bail". Corny premise...good cause. I get to spend that time noshing a hunk of beef at Outback Steak house. Thinking about getting Knackered as well but that might be bad since it's a community Ho-down...in any event...your help would be greatly appreciated. If you live in the US it's a tax deductible donation. If you do not live in the US we will likely be invading your homeland soon so you might as well get used to paying proper tribute to Uncle Sam.

You're getting money out of me for that quote alone...

Ahhh....just having some fun...I know Robb would be charged at least $3000 to attend one now....;)

Donation made.

I used to get locked up every year. I kind of miss calling and hounding my vendors for donations.

I see that the MDA has gone hi tech with the internet based credit card giving. Man that makes it a whole lot easier than filling out the slips and hoping the people would pay when they got the bill.

Have fun, enjoy the free food and I say maybe not get knackered but get a good start on it. Free beer always taste the best.

So what happens if you don't get enough donations?

LOL! OMG...that is hilarious! I think I could get in for free...but I doubt if I'd make it back out without a serious tussle!

Derek-
Thank you! Early start on the free beer it is!
Yael-
Nay Sayer! We will make the bail...or die trying! Actually nothing will happen...but IF we manage to get the most money in by March 30th (I've had a late start) they will bring all the Starbucks we can drink to the gym for a morning. I can drink a truck load of americanos!

Pierre Auge

I'm wondering whether this is a scam and the money really will be used to pay for PM's rising bandwidth bills caused from Shafley's "A Classic Example of Karma" thread?

Scott Kustes

Donated. Good luck Robb! Way to pitch in for a good cause everyone (that being the "Help Robb Get a Truckload of Starbucks" fund).

More fun for him I am sure...being the outcast....plus more plugs for PM....as long as we don't lose a DJ score for it....

Derek Simonds

Uhm we totally understand what girls night out means. If we just happened to be in the same state and the same place that would just have to be considered just one really big coinkydink.

Robb are you getting close to meeting your goal?

He could always sell his flying saucer on Ebay.....or does MT have it for the weekend??

What's a Goal?

Derek Simonds

I was thinking his goal was to raise around $1600.

I think that the flying saucers will be the long standing inside joke on this forum for many moons to come.

Hell, what's another $25 to support a good cause, a great board and one man's addiction to coffee. It is the least I can do.

Maybe to fund his coffee habit and help Jerry's kids, Robb could supplement these donations by selling autographed mugshots... being a fitness celebrity starlet and all...

Steve Liberati

Good idea, although Robb has little say with MT owning and controlling his rights. Now is probably not a good time either, with the movie 300 bringing in much media attention and merchandise sales. Some conflict of interest there:p .

Steve for your sake I hope Robb doesn't use that whole "anal probe" delivery system in his ship.....I think his is the older version of that particular model....not very smooth during gear shifts......best of luck!
