something i've been thinking recently.
how do you find the training varies between the heavyweight guys and the lighter classes?

It's said that lighter weights -- and particularly females -- can take more training load. They can supposedly endure more sets and higher intensity at higher frequency than a heavier lifter. You obviously have your freaks, like Ilya Ilyin that seems to be doubles and triples at weights people salivate over, but that's generally something I see written across many training philosophies.

The main differential when programming for heavyweights and lightweights is exactly what Javier just mentioned.
There are some sources that you could check out on this topic. I know this subject comes up in Bob Takano's "Weightlifting Programming: A Winning Coaches Guide (http://www.catalystathletics.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=41&products_id=636&zenid=0h750sq12e7otkeg8l2qng0h25)".
