Wow! This article should open some peoples eyes. I doubt it but it really should.

I agreed with the majority of the article except for the end when they bring up CR as a way to address the issue. At least they said CR and physical exercise.

Life is full of coincidence, my wife and I were having a pretty detailed discussion of diet versus exercise. She has always exercised so that she could eat or drink (coke) whatever she wanted. Now she is beginning to move towards cleaning up her diet (more paleo).

You mean I could be lean enough to be on the cover of Men's Health and still be a fat timebomb waiting to explode?! It's enough to make me exercise dependent!

So one is saying that BMI is useless and BF% is a better test for health.....wow...shocking.......personally I love doing BF for the "fat joggers"....guys who weight 175lbs, say they are in great shape....then read 29% BF.....Ummmm...yeah....No you are not.....

It's over the public's head, but I just wish they'd get that it isn't the "fat" that is dangerous, it's all the metabolic havoc going on (that created the fat in the first place).

Reminds me of one of my dad's friends--guy had a Santa-sized belly, but it wasn't full of jelly. You could see his abs! They looked stretched to the limit over all that intermesenteric fat, but they were there! I'd imagine that an abdominal skinfold wouldn't even be possible on him...does that mean he would pass? :-P
