Affordable sled harness
I bought a sled for myself for Winter Solstice holiday, and I never used it because like much of my summer attire, it's strapless.
But no more. I just got this harness online and it works well and won't fall apart and it was under 18 bucks WITH UPS shipping. http://www.armysurpluswarehouse.com/...rness-3124.cfm Just lettin' folks know. Now to get back out in this heat and running with the thing more... |
I've heard good things about these:
http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...08000_400-8-10 and http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=&id=0015139224903a&navCount=3&podI d=0015139&parentId=cat601052&masterpathid=&navActi on=push&catalogCode=XG&rid=&parentType=index&index Id=cat601052&hasJS=true both about $10. |
Ken,
Great lookin' out, but as a lady, I think there are a couple considerations that the Army surplus model seems to keep in mind... |
That deer drag looks like it's really pissing the deer off.
Or is that the point? |

just buy some tubular webbing and make 2 big loops with a common connection point. then you can do just about anything with them - loop them over the shoulders, cross them over the chest (for the non-women), hold them in a million different ways, etc. and you'll spend about $5.

it's not comfy, but when I'm hauling it around the backyard that's the least of my concerns. |
An outdoors oriented store would be my first place to look. If they sell rock climbing gear they'll have webbing by the spool and it'll be about 50¢ per foot. Check mountain bike and hiking stores too.
Oh, and military surplus, they're almost guaranteed to have spools upon spools of webbing. |
