Muscledriver USA KB's
Just a heads up I ordered 4 KB's from http://www.muscledriverusa.com/inbl.html on Monday and they are already here. The bells I bought are the 4 KG, 8KG, 28 KG, and 36 KG They are having a clearance on their gray bells. The 4 KG and the 8 KG were not on sale. However I did find an additional coupon code for the website which gives you 10% off your total order. "ASC10"
The bells have a little smoother handle then the lifeline bells which I like a lot. Other than that they seem to be very good for the money. My son has already started doing snatches with the 4 KG and has officially claimed it as his own. I bought it for my wife and neighbor to use. |
Thanks for the heads-up. I live an hour form there. I hope they will let me pick up the Kbells so i can save on shipping.

Here are a couple of pictures of the bells

Thanks for posting the pics.
They are going to let me pick them up from their warehouse, which will save me 50 bucks. |
Over on FullKOntact KBs, there's a guy who really likes his MD 40kg.

I just ordered their black, painted 48kg bell - the 40, 44 and 48's are 30% off right now. $135.00 for a 48kg bell is a darn good price.

Little Derek will be a machine between the gymnastics and KB action.
Your garage is kitted out nicely. I'm going to bring my bike and vacation in your garage. |

Does anyone know from personal experience how good the grip is on the V3 Gray Series Kettlebells compared to the MuscleDriver Black Series Kettlebells? The description for the V3 Gray Series Kettlebells says Single cast, cast-iron, textured finish with 1.5 inch smooth handle.
The word smooth concerns me. I do not have prior experience training with KBs. I am concerned that the Gray Series might slip out of my hands. My only issue with the Black Series is they come in pounds that do not exactly correspond with the kg equivalent of most KBs. 4kg = 8.8lb BS=10 8kg = 17.2lb BS=15 12kg = 26.4lb BS=25 16kg = 35.2 BS=35 20kg = 44lbs BS=45 24kg = 52.8lbs BS=50 28kg = 61.6lbs BS=60 36kg = 79.2lbs BS=80 The exercises I want to use them for where I think grip may be an issue are snatches, cleans, deadlift high pulls, and swings. I do not want KBs slipping out of my hands and smashing stuff around my house. MD KBs are less expensive than Ader or Lifeline and MD KBs increase in smaller weight increments than most manufactures, 2 kg instead of 4 kg, which is appealing. I would like to do lower rep training for strength as well as leave open the option of doing high rep training for conditioning. I am also interested in improving my grip strength. |
