Hook Grip
 
i have styarted following the CA WOD for the O-lifts and Tuesday i was really a bit off while snatching...Well i decided to finally try the hook grip i have been avoiding this style for the last 4 years well since i started learning the O-lifts...Even in compititions i did use it. Reason being i have always thought my fingers were to short...they are short and stubby...anyway i discovered how to actually squeze my thumb with the death grip that it takes. It was great the second snatch i did was one of the cleanest i had in two weeks. and the snatch es just kept feeling smoother and faster. The weight felt lighter...i bought into it.

with that said i just would like to say that if you have short fingers it is possible to do the hook grip...squeze your thumb hard...i am sure that this has been said many times but i am just really excited about it..could work out today because of school and work but i am stoked for 90% snatch tomorrow

another question what is the typical split between snatch max and CJ max i have at my best had 130-85 split...now it is 115/80 (hurt my back a while ago from overtraining) any ideas would be greatly thanked

Justin that is great on the hook grip.

I think that Greg has posted somewhere on here that it is somewhere around 70% to 75% or maybe 75% to 80%.

You can also try pulling the thumb up instead of only pressing in.

RE sn/cln ratio, seems typically in the low 80%s.
