What are your favorite takedowns from clinch?

knee to the groin while I say, "Not tonight, Mister!"

I'm with Greg, although I much prefer, "that's MY purse!!".

That was working quite well for me against the guys (I guess they don't usually go for knees to the groin with each other) until they caught on and now they usually grab my leg or they'll just put a hand down to block. I keep thinking I can get an arm drag from that position but haven't managed to pull it off yet.

Does the 3 stooges double eye poke still work??....or does everyone know the sideways palm block?

LOL. And throat jabs of course. But then you give up arm/head positioning.

single leg hook 99% of the time

I think you just need to stop going to biker bars....that may cure the whole problem right there.

Seriously however...what type of tie-up are you tinkering with? If you have say a head&arm or single you are normally looking for some kind of hip toss or leg trip. Occasionally one will go for an ankle pick from clinch, this is certainly done in free style wrestling.

I'd focus on attaining these positions:
1-single or double .
2-Side position with opponents near side arm trapped.
3-Thai clinch. Hands on , elbows on clavicles.

We will be looking at all of these in future PM issues. If you can get some video what you are doing we can offer some input on how to tinker things.
