Sleep and the nervous system?
Before christmas break I was working out regularly, but I would wake up a couple times during the night. I didn't do any working out during the christmas break, and I slept like a baby. Yesterday I did my first workout, and nothing that challenging or hard, but I woke up in the middle of the night...
Im wondering if working out can change hormones or jack up the nervous system enough to effect sleep. Anyone? |
Interesting. Usually I sleep much better when I am training. My first hunch was that you may be over trained, but you took time off and slept well. I would have thought that might have reset you pretty well. Adrenaline perhaps? How soon before bed do you workout? If I work out within three hours or so of rack time I occasionally have trouble falling asleep.

I worked out around 2 or 3 and didn't go to bed til around 10ish.
I also woke up twice last night after another workout around noon. |
