I'm new to this forum, but I honestly can't believe it took me so long to make an account here. This forum looks like a great place from the browsing I've done so far, and I see a bunch of people who've been banned from the CF forums for dissent, which is a good sign to me. The CF community's silencing of dissent is really starting to get out of hand. I started working out seriously almost 3 years ago with Crossfit, met some great people and had some good times, but in the end the constant intensity basically chewed me up and spat me out. No real animosity, just a little frustration that it took me so long to come to terms with the flaws in the program. I've felt better and stronger over the last 2 weeks of training than I have in years, I wish I'd seen the light earlier.
Anyway, right now I'm focused on finding a sustainable way to work out that will keep me happy and fit over the long-term. My favorite training is heavy lifting and sprinting (NOT at the same time :rolleyes: ). Looking forward to learning some new tricks and participating in a more, ahem, open community here at Pmenu. :)
You sound similar to me - except that I would also add jumping high to my favorite types of training :)
