Usain Bolt Sets Another WR: 200m in 19.19
Previous WR 19.30. Here's a low quality video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItRvEjMXSMg

Ridiculous. Without anyone to even push him! Give him a Tyson Gay running 2m back and see how much faster the kid goes.

Pretty good HQ with english:

Here's the same quality as the one above me except blown up to proportion (so a little distorted but still better than Scotts:

I really want to see him run 400m now... he has plans to in like 2011, correct?

Post race interview:

Said it wasn't a good race, haha.

100m splits were 9.92 and 9.27...into a -0.3 m/s headwind. Good effing gravy!

Check the bottom of this article for estimated 200m potential based on his best 100m: http://speedendurance.com/2009/08/21...eed-endurance/

18.96!!!! We'll be seeing a sub-19.10 within the next 12 months. There's talk of him going for the 400m record next year, but I think his PR is 45.xx, so he'll have some training to do to get his speed-endurance up. 42.8-9 isn't out of the question though.

Steven Low 08-21-2009 02:20 PM

Yeah, I've heard a good estimate of 200m -> 400m is (200m time * 2 + 3.5s) which would come out to somewhere around 42.5s if he can break 19s in 200m.

Regardless, yeah he needs to do speed endurance, but running +1s in 200m then 2.5 extra seconds to finish the last 200m with work is probably gonna be cake for him.

he is awesome seriously... and im not sure if its just me or not, but did he look bigger at this worlds?
