What do you guys do with fat on meats when leaning out?
When leaning out do you guys trim the fat off the meat or do you eat it? I don't really get much fats from other sources other than occasionally olive oil right now so I thought leaving some of the sat fat on the meat wouldn't be that bad when leaning out and it's just to delicious to ignore.
BTW, since adding this new weight I can pack down more than 16oz of steak daily. love it. |
I'd trim the visible fat. If you're eating red meat you'll likely have few issues getting fat in the diet.
If you're hitting your EFAs you don't exactly need fat anyway. |
Alright i'll do that, thanks.

i found getting enough protein in (200g) while on a limited calorie diet really hard when i was eating alot of red meat as my main source of protein.
i found a switch to eating more kangaroo (or venison) made a huge difference. mind you i was using fitday which didnt differentiate between cuts or grass/grain fed. id definitely trim off visible fat. add it back in when you are maintaining. :) |
