Looking for good fish oil research/reviews
 
I've been tasked with researching fish oil for a new product. For those of you who have good links set aside, please feel free to share. I need ones that have lists of studies with them.

Particularly in the area of higher DHA to EPA ratios...

While I have a healthy mistrust of many Wikipedia articles, I would probably start with the the notes and references listed on their omega 3 article (WFS).

Good luck in your research. I'm always interested in learning more about the effects of fish oil (and vitamin D).

FWIK, the Ascenta fish oil has the most EPA/DHA for your buck. At least I think that's what I remember.

Frank Morel did some research on this and I think he is now selling the Ascenta ( I don't think it's for profit and I think he's buying it in bulk but can't be sure ).

There's a huge number of studies relating to dietary fats referenced in Dietary Reference Intakes for Energy, Carbohydrate, Fiber, Fat, Fatty Acids, Cholesterol, Protein, and Amino Acids. (aka The Macronutrient Report) starting on page 515.

And here's a few of my more recent finds that may prove useful.

The omega-6/omega-3 ratio and cardiovascular disease risk: uses and abuses.

Types of Dietary Fat and Risk of Coronary Heart Disease: A Critical Review.

Summary of the NATO Advanced Research Workshop on Dietary to3 and o>6Fatty Acids: Biological Effects and Nutritional Essentiality.

Dietary supplementation with eicosapentaenoic acid, but not with other long-chain n-3 or n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, decreases natural killer cell activity in healthy subjects aged >55 y.

I think these may be slightly more relevant to your research than the studies I've already posted links to.

Effects of an open-label pilot study with high-dose EPA/DHA concentrates on plasma phospholipids and behavior in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Note: this is some actual research from Barry Sears!
