The truth is one thing (and it's good to see it get out there more in the mainstream media).....but seeing how cholesterol lowering drugs are a billion dollar market and top seller....big pharma won't let it happen that easily.

The price we pay for living in a capitalist society....our real health comes 2nd to any company's profit line.

Next up, cholesterol lowering drugs for kids....put right into their morning cereals.

As far as CVD risk is concerned they are. That's not to say that having a PUFA intake in excess of your EFA requirements is a good thing but it is less likely to result in you having a heart attack in your 40's than would be the case with a diet containing a similarly excessive amount of SAFA.

If you use anything to "treat" cholesterol, use testosterone.
