They were using 500mg a day of combined EPA/DHA in the study, which seems pretty damn low to me.

Less than a pill in some cases. -_-

That's one thing I don't like about most studies.. they don't study big enough doses.

And they don't regulate diet too well either in most cases (although that is almost impossible...).

Exactly. Too many studies when you start to dig into them did things like (dosages too low) or don't count for other factors, or even attempt to control them in many cases. But many people won't bother to dig into things and just accept the news article headline.
