So i got me some liver tabs eventually...ordered some Beverly and univeral.
The site i ordered from didnt list all the ingredients unfortunately...the Universal tabs second ingredient is whey! WTF. At least they are 1.5g protein per tab, and apparently grass fed so ill finish them.
Info i got from universal:
There is 2mg of Iron per tab.
There is 25IU of Vitamin A per tab.
Yet to try the Beverly, they dont state grass fed.

This is the most in depth info I have on Ultra 40. Check out the link as well. The amounts of Vitamin A are very small because the fat is removed.
Ultra 40 is a natural occuring substance with added B1(75mcg per tab).
Because it occurs naturally in nature it can vary as to it's composition.
Each Ultra 40 tablet is equivalent to 2600 mg defatted liver.
According to USDA 10 grams defattd liver (approximately 4 tablets) would yield on average:
Total Fat <1 g
Trans Fat 0 g
Cholesterol 2 mg 1%
Protein 7 g 14%
Niacin (Vitamin B-3) 0.1 mg 1%
Vitamin B-6 5 mg 250%
Anyhow, I have found that these tabs are a great protein boost when on plane flights to supplement the menial protein portions/dire food they serve, so given the portability and fact i cant find fresh liver i trust i think they are a winner.

Beverly's is from Argentinian cows, which basically implies they are grass-fed (and pretty much organic).
I had pretty much guesstimated about 2g/protein per tablet for the Beverly, looks like I was spot on.
Liver tabs and liver powder are some of the most underutilized Paleo protein sources, IMO.
Any worries of vitamin A toxicity from taking too much liver?
When I was eating it once a week even a tiny amount of CLO would send me into mild VA toxicity symptoms.
I don't think I ever isolated liver consumption from CLO consumption to figure it out firsthand.
There's very little Vitamin A in beef liver, nothing like CLO.
Chris, you should probably stick to carotenoids for your Vitamin A source, letting your body convert them to actual Vitamin A.
If you tolerated the liver before well, you should do fine with liver tabs.
I do 30 a day most weekdays, no CLO.
