quick (?) question about exercise induced pulmonary edema

Been seeing a few more instances of post-workout cough on the CF boards (due to the colder seasons?) and it reminded me of my post here from a while back.

Earlier, I mentioned that I thought my coughing seemed atypical because it could persist for days following my workout. Is this expected with exercise induced pulmonary edema?

Thanks!

Tangent:
I'm well familiar of the temporary throat burn and metal taste from my childhood, running 600s or miles for PE testing. (Quite frankly, it surprises me a little how this sensation is so foreign to some people until they do CF as adults.) The striking difference in my case is that my cough stays around well after the throat burn and metal taste go away.

No, any level of pulmonary edema much like lactate will be reabsorbed by the system within 30 minutes or so... likely 1-2 hours max.

The only reason why you would have it there chronically may be because of congestive heart failure or something which you probably don't have.

Persisting for days is likely a sign of an either allergic reaction or asthma and then some virus/bacteria gets in and starts replicating leading to a slight cough/mucus or somethng or other production for a few days

Wouldn't it be much more likely that your post workout cough is caused by some level of exercise induced asthma rather than pulmonary edema? I do believe I read somewhere once that 100% of people have exercise induced asthma at a high enough sustained intensity.
