Kirk Hamilton interviews Dr. William Castelli who received a B.S. in Zoology from Yale College and a Doctor of Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. Dr. Castelli joined the Framingham Heart Study in 1965 where he reorganized the Framingham laboratory to measure lipoproteins such as LDL, VLDL, IDL, HDL and sinking Pre-Beta (Lp {a}). In 1979 Dr. Castelli became the third director of the Framingham Heart Study which now includes four generations of Framingham people. Associations with three medical schools in the area have led to his teaching epidemiology and prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease for 34 years at the Harvard Medical School, 22 years at the Boston University School of Medicine and 15 years at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He currently is the medical director of a new wellness program at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham Massachusetts which specializes in the aggressive management of cardiovascular risk factors. He also lectures frequently on heart disease risk assessment and treatment.

Hmmm.

So basically he says:

1. Go vegetarian, occasionally nuts. Super low fat. If any "meat" it would be fish, chicken. No beef/lamb/etc.

2. Paleo works because of vitamin K2 from range free meats.
