Nagging forearm strain
For almost a month now I've been having a little bit of pain in my left forearm.
Believe it happened at my last weightlifting meet; missed my first snatch behind me but I believe I may have extended my arms backward a little bit to try to save it.
Ever since then whenever I snatch I have some pain in the forearm after I put the bar down which lasts a few seconds. No significant pain when actually in the snatch position. Also I started using grippers recently and I'm having the same pain not when I squeeze but when I release.
It's located on the bottom of arm about 4-6 inches below the wrist.
Sounds a bit typical of forearm splints.
Have you strengthened your extensors to see if it helps?
It's been 9 months since I had this and this cleared up awhile ago, early January I think.
Anyway the solution was shoulder dislocates and reverse wrist curls. Whatever happened just loosened up some knot or nerve in my forearm and it doesn't bother me anymore.
