flexor carpi ulnaris issue
So I've had an issue with my arm/wrist rotation since mid-October. I tried taking extended time off, but it actually feels better with training and movement...though it is exacerbated with heat. Anyway, I had my MD friend (who used to be an MMA cageside physician--how cool is that?!) look at it, and she said it was just some tendonitis in my flexor carpi ulnaris. She recommended a little bit of ibuprofen as needed, wearing a wrist band while typing and perhaps some strengthening exercises (squeezing a ball, etc.) Anybody else have any strengthening exercise ideas?
|
If it's chronic I'd avoid the ibu and do eccentrics + heat + massage to the muscle belly to help take stress off the tendon.

Then don't do that then. o_o
I'd go with regular tendonitis protocol even though it's stuck around a while then. |
Weird, because RICE doesn't help either. Only thing that really helps is movement. I am just trying to find strengthening exercises other than squeezing this tennis ball.

That's an odd cookie.
See if some high rep rice bucket helps any? |
Why would I do high rep RICE if RICE makes it work? That makes no sense.
I was just looking for PT exercises... squeezing a ball seems to help. |
