Clean and Jerk Feedback

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vXb...e_gdata_player

I was concentrating to improve my technique for a few weeks now. this is like 13kg less that what I have C&J'ed. After the jerk, my weight was a forward in the split position and more so in the 2nd rep. that much i cud figure out. these were without weight lifting shoes.. now that I've a pair I look fwd to a better split position.

Please critique everything that is to be.. first pull, second pull, are my hips straightening to quickly, pull position, bar height, speed getting under too slow, catching the bar too high, jerk technique, speed of the jerk.. everything that is possible..

thanks.

Hey not too bad! Clean looks sharp.

My suggestions are for the jerk. You are slightly forward as a result of short stepping that front foot a bit. I would say to try to reach that front heel forward a bit more and to bend that back knee a bit more to balance yourself.

For the recovery of the jerk you want to step the front for forward first about a third of the way and the back foot last.

Got it Steve.. thanks.. will post back after a month to see where I am with the technique with a lil heavier weight.

Just a query on the dip. Do I need to go a little deeper than what I am doing now to generate some more extra power for the jerk? At the moment the depth in the video is what i feel most comfortable with.

The depth that you take in the video is good. I would say any more and it might throw off your position, if you go deeper the hips will start to travel back as in a squat which may divert the drive in the wrong direction. The dip should be fairly short and controlled while focused on changing directions from the bottom to really drive the bar up.

Thanks Steve.

Back with probably my max C&J at the moment..84 kg, maybe I can go +2 kg more.. please give feedback. I guess I have a lil arm bend at the second pull and maybe while cleaning i'm pulling/catching the bar a lil too high.

The weight is a measly 72kg. Has my technique improved overtime? Please provide some feedback so that I can start correcting it. took a break for some weeks so have to start getting into the groove once again.

Thanks.
