Overextending knees in clean

Hi Greg

When I clean my legs tend to completely straighten out before rebending causing a bit of a pause/loss of timing, could you give me any ideas as to how to fix this?

Thanks in advance for any help

Tom

I used to do this a lot and sometimes will still do it if my form breaks down. The way I got around it was pulling harder with my back from the floor and starting the second pull much earlier.

Thanks Manuel I will give that a try!

I wouldn't worry about it! I think you're just fine, although I would try to keep the bar a bit closer to your thighs right as it passes your knees.

Thanks Greg, I have constantly be told it is a fault so it's nice to hear I don't need to worry about it as I have never been able to fix it! Although starting the 2nd pull slightly earlier like Manuel said does stop it getting exaggerated.

I will try to keep the bar a bit closer too.
