Stubborn Left Ankle! (feels locked won't budge)

Hello,

I've been dealing with my stubborn left ankle for some time now doing my olympic lifts, I feel like it really limits me, as I can never get a nice upright posture. I've tried stretching for weeks on end my gastroc muscle as well as my soleus through weighted bar stretches. But I see zero improvement, When I flex my left ankle it gets to a point where I feel this sensation of it being locked, my right ankle on the other hand can go farther than this locked point and as I result I tend to lean to this side when catching! Any of you have tips for stubborn ankles like mine?

I attached a picture here to see sorry for quality (I can get lower than this but this is as far as they go!)

Where are you feeling the "locking" happen, what else can describe. Does the ankle want to turn out? Does it not want to go out over the toes properly? If you can manage a few dollars I would suggest getting Becoming a Supple Leopard - Kelly Starett. It is an AMAZING book that is easy to read and comes with many pictures on how-to's for mobility.

I have a similar issue. I have sprained my left ankle and twisted it MULTIPLE times while playing soccer. It now has mobility issues and does not have the dorsiflexion it SHOULD have.

On a side not your position looks pretty good. It looks like you are arching your back a little too much.
Look at this photo and notice the differences. Try and emulate the vertical back.
