Hi Peter,

I left the thread for someone with more expertise than me as I have little experience.

But noting no one answered here is my two cents worth.

Pendlay (I dont know if its his method) method = a pull to the hips, when the hips explode forward and there is a bit of a barbell swing outwards from the body as it goes up.

Catalyst method = triple extension - 2-3 pulls upwards keeping the bar close all the time before going under.
