Peter -

Yes, Pendlay teaches initially from a hang position with the knees only bent (as does Burgener), and I usually teach from a position with both hips and knees bent. But I also change that depending on what the athlete needs.

Overall tech, I would say that Pendlay emphasizes the hips more while I emphasize the combination of legs and hips. But ultimately, like Keith said, the differences are pretty minor - where you see the big differences is from people doing what we each teach poorly.
